Belak coordinates with the city and moves the team forward in the venture. Laboot City elders respond to concerns by sending a fact-finding team, which contains members intent on further disruption with the intent of forcing a takeover of BuelaVisu. Caught by the conspiracy, Louise is forced into hiding.
Belak accepts the appointment to lead the technical team to establish a franchise for iron-making in BuelaVisu, which is over the continental divide from Laboot City. The book follows his and his team’s preparation for the venture. Various members are drawn in, especially Belak’s little sister, Louise. The book suggests the challenges ahead.
